To support our IT team we are searching for a Junior Platform & Enablement Engineer (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support the development and maintenance of our internal tools, services, and platforms, helping all departments across the company work more efficiently and autonomously.
- Assist in automating and operating our Linux-based infrastructure (virtualization, cloud, internal services) to ensure a stable foundation for our custom applications.
- Help administer and extend core collaboration platforms (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Slack) by configuring and implementing custom workflows and integrations for various teams.
- Contribute to the development of custom internal tools and technical integrations (e.g., asset management, label printing solutions, or hardware connectivity) using modern programming languages.
- Learn to identify manual bottlenecks in business processes and work with the team to design technical solutions and automations that simplify the daily work of your colleagues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and experienced engineers to understand requirements, while continuously growing your skills in the field of Platform & Enablement Engineering.
WHO YOU ARE
- You have your first professional experience (e.g., through internships, projects, or a junior role) in system integration, software development, or system administration.
- You have a solid foundation in coding and are eager to deepen your skills in Node.js/TypeScript and/or Python; basic knowledge of other languages like PHP is a plus.
- You possess good Linux skills (ideally Debian/Ubuntu) and are motivated to learn more about hosting services, networking basics, and system troubleshooting.
- You are familiar with the concepts of automation and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible) and have had your first points of contact with containers (Docker) or virtualization.
- You are interested in modern business tools and their APIs, particularly the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), and you want to learn how to manage professional monitoring and logging stacks (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Graylog).
- You have a service-oriented mindset: you enjoy helping others, simplifying complex tasks, and building solutions that are user-friendly for non-technical colleagues.
- You are a proactive learner and communicator, comfortable working in a collaborative environment and communicating in both German and English.
