Customs Coordinator (f/m/d)

To support our Customs team we are searching for a Customs Coordinator (f/m/d) to be based in our Munich or Leipzig office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Monitor incoming shipments
- Maintain contact with freight forwarders and courier service providers
- Handle import processes in compliance with foreign trade law and preferential law
- Prepare of customs clearance instructions
- Review, preparation, and audit-compliant archiving of documents
- Reconciliation of incoming supplier invoices after verification of customs clearance
- Preparation of post-clearance assessment and refund applications with the responsible customs authorities
- Clarification of inquiries regarding customs clearance issues or delays with suppliers and service providers
- Tariff classification of our goods
- Data maintenance in the ERP system and internal data capture systems
WHO YOU ARE
- Completed training, e.g. as a foreign trade clerk, freight forwarding and logistics services clerk, or a comparable qualification
- Initial solid experience in the customs field, preferably supported by further training
- Ideally good knowledge of import and preferential law
- Fluent German, both written and spoken; English is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of MS Office
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Dynamics Navision is an advantage
- Conscientious handling of customer data, a high sense of responsibility, and reliability
