To support our Data and Technology teams we are searching for a Director Data Products (f/m/d) to be based in one of our offices in Munich or Barcelona.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead the Data Engineering teams responsible for our core data workspace in Databricks on AWS.
- Oversee the design and maintenance of a scalable Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) to ensure operational efficiency.
- Champion data quality and reliability by overseeing the use of dbt for transformations and automated testing.
- Ensure high availability of data for reporting tools (Power BI) and downstream applications.
- Manage the Marketing Technology team, serving as the guardian of data inputs.
- Continuously develop and optimize onsite tracking technologies (GA4, Snowplow) across all stores to ensure granular behavioral data collection.
- Supervise the tracking of campaigns and the technical integrations between MarTech tools (Data Platforms, Marketing Automation and AdTech ecosystems).
- Lead the Data Product & AI Applications team to translate complex business needs from diverse stakeholders (Analytics, Marketing, SEO, Merchandising, Personal Shoppers, IT) into technical roadmaps.
- Drive the creation and implementation of AI-powered applications (leveraging Google Vertex or AWS native tools) to drive automation and personalization.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and executive leadership, ensuring that data initiatives align with the strategic goals of the LuxExperience Stores.
WHO YOU ARE
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in Data Product Management, Data Engineering, or Data Platform management, preferably within a high-volume eCommerce or international environment.
- Technical Fluency: You have a solid understanding of modern data stacks. You are comfortable discussing Databricks, AWS, Google Cloud, dbt, and Power BI with engineers.
- Tracking Expertise: Expert understanding of eCommerce tracking methodologies, specifically Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Snowplow.
- Leadership: Proven track record in managing and scaling diverse technical teams (Engineering & Product) in a global organization.
- AI Vision: Experience in operationalizing AI/ML products (e.g., Google Vertex, Recommendation Engines, Agents) and driving their adoption in non-technical teams.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels (from Developers to C-Level).
- Mindset: Flawless reliability, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Languages: Fluent written and spoken English.
